SUPERDRE Bio: http://www.superdre.com/about-2/press-kit/
In just a few short years, SuperDre has brought her unique sound and contagious stage energy to packed dance floors and events across the nation.
Releasing her funky, minimal techno sound on her boutique label, Bass Candi, SuperDre thrives in the live environment delivering most of her sets on turntables along with midi controllers, an art becoming more and more rare among Producers/DJs.
Sponsored by Native Instruments, SuperDre’s skills were featured in the Technical Genesis series, a ten volume showcase of her ability to effortlessly create a unique mix of minimal techno, electro and retro. Her appearances and accolades also include independent films, holding down the popular “AFTER Club 104.5,” on Grand Rapids’ largest radio station, 104.5 WSNX, as well as in 2009 being voted the area’s “DJ of the Year” and one of the “Top 10 Most Influential” electronic artists to come out of the region.
Serving up her distincitve brand across genres, demos and venues, SuperDre has shared the stage with DJs/Producers such as DJ Irene, Filastine, Bassnectar, John Acquaviva, Ana Sia, Heavygrinder, Woody McBride, Reid Speed, Eliot Lipp, Punisher, Terrence Parker and many more, as well as a variety of other national indie and electronic bands.
Influences: Luciano, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Parliament & the Funkadelics, Mark Henning, Pharrell Williams, Nina Simone, Joshua Bell, Bassnectar, RZA, Jimmy Hendrix, Green Velvet, Magda, Missy Elliott, Adultnapper, Si-Begg, Cassy, SIS, Kid Sister, Magda, Claude VonStroke, Kelis and Daniel Mehlhart.
WORTHY BIO
Worthy grew up around Washington DC in the early days of Deep Dish, Scott Henry and the early American rave scene. In the late 90's after moving to New York City, he met good friend Justin Martin and was exposed to the sounds of people like LTJ Bukem, Stacey Pullen and Sasha. These artists greatly influenced his early ear while the expanding dance music scene encouraged him to play records of all genres; from hip hop to breaks to techno and drum 'n' bass.
In 2001 Worthy moved to San Francisco. He set up his studio and began producing house and techno music and DJing around the city. He later conspired with Christian Martin, Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke to co-create a fresh take on outdoor parties, rightly named Dirtybird. The Dirtybird parties have quickly become an institution for San Francisco die-hards and a destination for international travelers.
2006 brought the launch of Worthy's label, Anabatic Records. Originally intended as an outlet for the release of his own music, Anabatic quickly branched out to take on new artists. Anabatic has been providing a steady stream of high quality tech house and has been gaining the praises of top DJs and Producers around the globe for its edgy new sound.
